Browsing my local craigslist, I stumbled upon this !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! with 101k miles that looks to be in mostly good shape, for $8995. Looking through the pictures it appears to have a roll bar instead of a back seat, a 930 steering wheel, and an aftermarket head unit. Per the description:
This vehicle has been converted in essence for a track day vehicle. It is classified as near mint condition. Absolutely rust free, comes in guard red and shines like a glossy apple. It has only two bite sized chips on the body area(shown in photo) Has services records provided. Clean carfax with no accidents, none. The exterior has chip guards and stock rims with Porsche calipers. The interior is very clean. The seats are soft and comfortably conforming. The dash offers driver friendly gauges. Comes with power windows, power door locks and cruise control. Has cd player and removable top. Mechanically, this vehicle is in good condition. Comes stock with an aluminum 2.5 liter turbo-charged engine. The engine offers no leaks, very well kept. The clutch engagement is solid and shifts timely. This vehicle handles extremely smooth and steady. If you always wanted to experience some true Porsche power then checkout this classic 5 speed demon today.
I called them to ask what they meant by "converted in essence for a track day vehicle," and they said that's just talking about the roll bar and it's been lowered in some way.
I've always liked 944 Turbos on paper, but never actually driven one. So I'm going to take the trek out there (it's a little small dealer about 25 miles outside of town) next tuesday.
More pics...

THAT IS A NICE FRAKING PRICE RIGHT THERE! With that mileage and that clean work. If it's been maintained as great as it looks you got yourself quite a bargain right there! :D

This image looks like if you turned sharp, you would either shred a tire or screw up your fender panel. Other than that, it looks really clean. I'd definitely get it checked out before buying but always worth a look.

Pretty sure it just looks that way because of the angle of that photo. The front tires look like they clear the fenders fine in these shots:
Which they should, since they're the stock wheels.

but you said it was lowered. I know they didn't have much clearance with stock rims and stock size tires.

Well, I'll be sure to investigate when I go drive the thing.

Have fun, so easy to squeal the tires in a turbo!
